A Word From the CWAIOP President?

By Michael P. Cook

At least some of you are reading this column because you were startled by the headline. CWAIOP President? When I was asked to write a “Message from the President” it was because I had coordinated our last meeting and there was an assumption by some that I was “the president”. I am not. As some of you know, this is an organization without organization.

History of CWAIOP

By Paul K. Woods and Melanie R. F. Law

The complete history of the Colorado-Wyoming Association of Industrial-Organizational Psychologists (CWAIOP), sometimes simply known as the Colo-Wyo I-O Group, is somewhat of a mystery. Perhaps more accurately, the history is more of a jig-saw puzzle in which various individuals possess different pieces of the complete history. As future editions of the CWAIOP Newsletter are published, other members are invited to share their pieces of history as well.

The organization began as an idea put forth by Dr. George Thornton, Dr. Jack Hautaluoma, and Dr. Jim Gavin.
